The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, when considering the scientific research and pedagogical activities, with distinguished foreign universities, schools and institutions. Scientific research activities are not only developed by the form of contract – by investigation of common bilateral and multilateral scientific and pedagogical projects – but take a non-contract form as well.
The spheres involved in scientific research activities of the faculty correspond to scientific orientation of individual departments, and to their scientific and educational fields.


International Cooperation Based on Contracts Between Universities

The contract of cooperation between the University of Žilina and the Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan. The cooperation involves exchange programmes for students, postgraduate doctoral students, research and development employees as well as publications and information about common scientific research and scientific conferences.
The contract of cooperation between the University of Žilina and Politechnika Warszawska (Poland). Long term cooperation, oriented on mutual transfer of know-how from the sphere of High-Tech technology, simulation in virtual environment, design and optimization of production systems, logistics.
The contract of cooperation between the University of Žilina and Poznań University of Technology. Cooperation is oriented on exchanges programmes for teachers and students. The international project CEEPUS is a result of this cooperation.
The contract of cooperation between the University of Žilina and Wrocław University of Technology (Poland). The cooperation orients on lecturing exchange programmes for teachers and exchange programmes for postgraduate doctoral students. Mutual transfer of know-how in High-Tech technologies (Rapid Prototyping, Vacuum Casting, Lean Production, simulation) is part of the cooperation.
The contract of cooperation between the University of Žilina and University of Bielsko-Biała (Poland). Extensive and long term cooperation oriented on lecturing exchange programmes, long term stays for teachers and supervisors, postgraduate doctoral students, exchange programmes for students. Extensive cooperation in the sphere of know-how transfer in the field of ergonomics, computer simulation and information technologies, common scientific publications.
The contract of cooperation between the University of Žilina and the University of Parma (Italy). Long term cooperation in the sphere of material engineering and fatigue of materials, common research, exchange programmes for teachers and postgraduate doctoral student, common conferences and scientific publications.
