Bachelor Studies

The bachelor studies, in their full-time form, take three years (six semesters). The external study form of bachelor studies takes four years. The studies are oriented on a more practical professional profile of the graduate. Graduates gain necessary theoretical and practical knowledge, which is not confined to making graduates able to solve practical problems from the sphere of mechanical engineering, but also prepares them for the role of technical employees in industry, education, trade and services.
The education is concluded by the state examination, after which the graduate obtains the academic title “Bachelor” (B.Sc.).

Bachelor Study Programs


Industrial Engineering and Management

The graduate gains basic knowledge of technical disciplines and natural science, enterprise management, manufacturing and information technologies, enterprise logistics, organisation of auxiliary and service operation and of their economic relationship. The focus of the study is on organisation and control of processes at the level of basic production units.
Graduates of the Industrial Engineering and Management bachelor program may proceed their studies in the graduate and postgraduate programs also called Industrial Engineering and Management.


Vehicles and Engines

Graduates are able to design and engineer parts of vehicles and of their subsystems, using the modern CA-X technologies. They possess the knowledge necessary to work in the sphere concerning the operation of vehicles, particularly road vehicles, rail vehicles, combustion engines, hydraulic and pneumatic machines and devices, to provide for the diagnostics, maintenance and reparation.
Graduates of the Vehicles and Engines bachelor program may proceed their studies in the following graduate programs: Rail Vehicles; Combustion Engines, Aircraft Engines.


Environment Technology

The study program involves the sphere of design and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and gas distribution systems, efficient use of thermal energy in civic and industrial sphere, reduction of energy demands, utilization of alternative energy sources etc.
Graduates of the Environment Technology bachelor program may proceed their studies in the graduate program called Environment Technology.


Mechanical Engineering Technologies

The professional profile of the graduate is characterised by the theoretical and – above all – practical knowledge concerning mechanical technologies, production facilities, quality, economy and control of production. The profile also includes experience and ability to put this knowledge into practice.
Graduates of the Mechanical Engineering Technologies bachelor program may proceed their studies in the following graduate programs: Environment Technology; Material Engineering; Automated Production Systems.


Transport Machines and Equipment

Graduates are able to work in the sphere of design, engineering and operation of technical systems, the focus being on the transport machines and mechanisms. The graduates are able to use modern CAD systems used to aid in engineering and modelling, as well as systems for computation, analysis and simulation of components of technical systems and of their mechanisms.
Graduates of the Transport Machines and Equipment bachelor program may proceed their studies in the following graduate programs: Machines and Equipment Design; Transport Means Maintenance; and Applied Mechanics.
