Graduate Studies

Graduate studies either take the full-time form, or the external form. Students should acquire theoretical and practical knowledge based on the actual state of science and technology. Their abilities should develop as well as their capability to creatively apply them in their future jobs, or during further university study in a particular postgraduate study program. The standard length of the study is 2 years.
The study is concluded by the state examination and defence of the master's degree thesis. The state examination verifies that the students have acquired knowledge and skills specified by the study program and that they are prepared to use these in practice. The state examination consists of two parts – defence of the master's degree thesis; and the oral exam in subjects specified by the study program. The students are examined by the state examination board.
Graduates receive the academic title of “Engineer” (M.Sc.).
The faculty provides the following graduate study programs:
Applied Mechanics
Combustion Engines, Aircraft Engines
